The project will be carried out during January-October 2009 and aims at promoting and extending the active involvement of the civil society in the democratic process General objectives: Strengthening the human rights protection, as well as the independence and the reform of the judicial system regarding the young offenders by baking the extension of the use of the alternative measures on a larger scale in Bucharest and Baia Mare citiesIntroducing the mediation institution and making it functional within the Romanian judicial systemThe actively involvement of the NGOs in Bucharest and Baia Mare into the implementation of these measures. The PHARE Project 2006/018-147.01.02 aims at providing training on civic instruction to the children and young people from the Foster Centers within the General Directorates and Child Protection (DGASPC) in the districts 5 and 6 of Bucharest, with the view to turn them into the active and responsible citizens by the time they leave the Foster Centers. The project is being developed between January and October 2009. Objectives: Raising by 50% of the civic habits, behaviors and values needed for a successful integration of the children and young people living in the foster centers and in the services for juvenile delinquency in the districts 5 and 6 of the Bucharest, by: - providing sessions of civic instruction in order to raise awareness of their own capacities and self conduct, in the case of the teenagers from the services of juvenile delinquency and foster centers - information and prevention training designed to the children and young people in the foster centers - producing a paper case on the development of civic habits and behaviors – a study paper for the institutionalized children and young persons in the foster centers and services of juvenile delinquency - civic participation within the community; practicing the theories acquired during the educational activities Improving by 50% the skills of the trainers and educators in the foster centers and the DGASPC in the districts 5 and 6 of Bucharest so that they are able to enhance the civic Details...

CRED has been carring out three projects in the prisons, since 2nd May 2008 till 30 April 2009, in the framework of the Phare Project 2006, with the support of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Chances Equality and the Intermediate Regional Body for the Sectorial Operational Program for the Developing the Human Resources:                                              CRED Team -  "Support for professional integration of roma people who are leaving the prisons in Braila and Galati counties" - „A step forward to release by integration in the labour market" - „The Integration on the the Labour Market - a New Chance" The Partners in the project are: The Prison for Minors and Young Persons in Tichilesti, The Prison in Braila, The Prision in Galati, the Reeducation Center in Gaesti, the Prison in Ploiesti, the Prison for women in Targusor, the Prison in Bacau, the Reeducation Center in Targu Ocna, and the Division for Imprisonment of the National School for Training the prison staff in Targu Ocna. Support for socio-professional integration of the young persons who are leaving the protection system within the General Directorates of the Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) in the districts 1, 5 and 6 Venue: Bucharest-Ilfov The purpose of the project The project is carried out between May 2008 – April 2009 and aims at increasing the chances of insertion on the labor market of the young persons aged over 18, who are ready to leave the child protection state system Partners in the project: General Directorates of the Social Assistance and Child Protection, District 1, Bucharest General Directorates of the Social Assistance and Child Protection, District 6, Bucharest General Directorates of the Social Assistance and Child Protection, District 5 Bucharest The 2003 Alternative Association, Bucharest Target group 110 young persons (20 from DGASPC district 1, 30 from DGASPC district 6, 60 from DGASPC district 5) aged between 18 and 26 years old, ready to leave the child protection state system The ultimate beneficiaries: • The communities that will integrate these 110 young persons after they leave the child protection state system. PANEL (Positive Aspects of Non-formal Education and Learning) intends to promote life long learning and especially the non-formal education for offenders, ex-offenders and tutors and enhance the potential of individuals who are partially excluded from society, in order to encourage learners to feel positive about educational progress and increase their chances for social reintegration. The main objectives of the project are: To explore different processes of addressing inclusion through non-formal education for offenders and ex-offenders in different cultures in Europe, especially in Belgium, Bulgaria, Romania, Scotland, Norway and Denmark for a period of three years.To involve the staff and the learners in a dynamic formative process across Europe. The purpose and venue of the project 2004-2005 The project aimed at adapting the educational and criminal and post criminal judicial practices to the international standards in the field of juvenile delinquency, taking into account both the acquaintance of similar experiences and methods of the best practice on the rehabilitation process of the young offenders carried out inside the organizations in Belgium and Great Britain and the improving the competences and abilities of the personnel working in the field of juvenile delinquency, in order to facilitate the rehabilitation and social inclusion of the young offenders.
